Now that we have wrapped up the unit on Money, Banking and the role of the Federal Reserve, it's time to turn our attention BACK to money...but from a different angle.

This week we begin our exploration of CREDIT, starting with a discussion of  what it means to live The Good Life!  How much of your definition of the good life involves money? Have you thought about this?

Be sure to check your email for an Acosta Bucks opportunity this week...those sure helped a lot of you on last week's test!


Q3, Week 5:
  • Monday: President's Day -- No School

I think that those who came along on our trip to the Miami Branch of the Federal Reserve would agree that it was a worthwhile experience.  We got to see real life examples of COMMODITY MONEY, REPRESENTATIVE MONEY, and a whole lot of FIAT MONEY!

This week, we will continue our exploration of the Role of the Fed

Q3, Week 1:  What is Money?  Well, if you want to see a LOT OF IT, please remember to bring in your Field Trip Permission Form, and your $10.00, for our trip to the Miami Branch of the Federal Reserve Bank!

This week we will begin a lesson on the origin of money and banking.

Literacy Week activities take place through 5th period classes.  So PLEASE bring in any gently used books that you are willing to donate! I will give $1 Acosta Buck for EVERY BOOK, UP TO FIVE, that you donate!
